A tenant in Benin got tired of NEPA low voltage every night. He decided to do the unthinkable by Spending almost ₦4.7M from his savings to install solar panels, inverter and batteries so his kids could sleep with fan and do homework in peace. The landlord one day suddenly discovered the house had premium value and began to observe this tenant. Last week his lawyer brought a paper, rent jumped from ₦850k to ₦1.5M overnight. For what reason? Now, the man is thinking of removing the solar panels if that is what is making his landlord jealous of his progress.

@imsheef I can't exhaust 5kwh in 3 days so panels are not my priority for now sir, just inverter and battery. Ideally, bar the sumo pump and washing machine a 1kwh battery will carry me well - I don't have appliances but I want to buy them without thinking twice.

One solar loan will change my life rn. I don't like these ones they tell me 3m for 2kva setup and they will source products for me. 3m should get me no less than a 5kva setup bar installation costs.

Ford F250 4WD PickUp N2.6M It undoubtedly needs small but cheap TLC. The reward will be an iconic American full size truck for heavy duty. Seller is asking N2.6M but nobody is beating down his door to buy a gas guzzler. Offer N1.5M and have another N1.5M for TLC. facebook.com/marketplace/it…

Isé Èsú Ni. It's the devil's handwork. Two artisans are fighting on a site and they chose no better place than on the roof. They both fell and one is in a coma.

@imsheef @Biggy2705 @lynusmezie @OloyeSomorin They're trying to tell you that you're giving an excuse for your life. If something happened to you, you do know life will move on? They will bring someone else to complete the work who will wear “Safety” kits. Better put your safety first, we dont have a good emergency system.

@lynusmezie @OloyeSomorin So I should have matched his roof with my safety boots or shouldn't av taken d job. We are operating in d same system. Safety wise it's wrong truly but yes we av to do d job. I have to wait for the landlord to see for himself and feel the roof before we proceed. We try o😂

@imsheef @OloyeSomorin You don't need favorable conditions to prioritize safety as an engineer, it should be a tenet of the practice as a professional. The things I hear in Nigeria baffle me, with all due respect.

@OloyeSomorin If you step on the sheet with a boob believe me, everything it will be worse. If the condition is favourable, perfectly safety kit will be used. In situations like this installer have to rework his approach 🤣, nah UK e dey or USA where roofs are done and properly done 🤣

@TheEmmalez @phveektordrayne If it's all about probability, there are 100s of it. If he hasn't stopped her from supplying or selling at the appropriate rate, he has no fault. That looks ne of practice she chooses can ruin business for the manufacturer. Her enemy is greed not the man

A lady came to my shop one day and begged me to allow her sit down while she waited for someone. I agreed and continued pressing my phone. A few minutes later, my neighbor suddenly asked her, “Aunty, who you dey video?” She ignored him. That was when I looked up and noticed she was secretly recording a man nearby. I asked her why she was filming the man, but she still refused to answer. My neighbor quickly informed the man that he was being recorded. Here’s what really happened… The man was supplying tomato paste cartons at a cheaper price. The same lady also sold that brand, but hers was almost ₦500 higher per carton. Because of the cheaper price, people were rushing to buy from the man some buying 10, 20, even 50 cartons at once. Even some market women she usually supplied started calling her, complaining that her own price was too high and asking her to come carry her goods. Out of anger, she came to secretly record the man and send the video to the company whose vehicle he was using. Apparently, the tomato paste company and the vehicle company were different, and according to their policy, he wasn’t supposed to use that vehicle for the delivery. People around them quickly figured out what had happened and began pleading with her to drop the matter. One person even warned that the report could cost the man his job. Not long after, the company called him. Rather than argue or beg, he calmly responded that there was no need for anyone to plead on his behalf, he would report himself at the office the following day. Then he revealed something shocking:He was actually the person helping the lady access the goods in the first place because she wasn’t financially capable of buying directly from the company yet. Unknown to him, she had quietly been adding nearly ₦500 extra on every carton she sold while still relying on him for supply. The moment he started selling at cheaper prices, she became upset because it was ruining the profit she had been making from the same market. In the end, the company heard his explanation, allowed him to keep the vehicle, and told him to continue his work. But the lady? She ended up losing access to the tomato paste supply entirely because the same man she reported was the one helping her business survive. Sometimes, greed destroys opportunities wisdom could have preserved. See less
