So lovely to be able to meet up with so many of my fellow womens health/meno warriors at the launch of @DrNighatArif fabulous book ‘The Knowledge - Your guide from menstruation to menopause’ - it’s a fabulous book and beautifully illustrated too - a must read for all! Thoroughly enjoyed listening to Prof Dame @lregan7, the women’s health ambassador, talk with Dr Arif, about why she wrote the book and also how far we’ve come too. 💪 Congrats 👏 Nighat & thanks for having us all! (Didnt manage to get pictures of everyone but good to catch up with/see/meet so many brilliant friends, colleagues & drs - together slowly but surely, we are all making a massive change for the next generation to come!).

Often people think the menopause is just a time that you have to get through and then you’re at the other side. But actually it is a permanent change to your hormone levels which can have an impact on your future health as well as your wellbeing. The last three decades have witnessed tremendous advances in the field of reproductive medicine especially assisted reproductive technology, hormone therapies and stem cell research.

Many current research conclusions in women’s health are based on studies with women mainly from Caucasian background. There is a need for similar large studies in individuals from other ethnicities.

@BobbyDavro1 So sad to read this we met you both at Dr Bob’s do’s and could tell how much you adored each other and made each other laugh. You were both very lucky sending strength at this crappy time ♥️
