@incomingryan @more8bit @shadowofaya Thanks :) yeah Bleak Sword was all about using distortion/over drive and shaping that to create a nice crunchy tone :D then it was just choosing the right sources to record that were easy to manipulate! Ah, cool :)

@more8bit I love the way Bleak Sword sounds. If you don’t mind me asking, what app/software do you use for sfx editing?

@KissaKolme @more8bit The effect is extremely dope. :) I’ve been creating the sfx for @shadowofaya with an old NES chip, but kind of want to give things a bit of a modern twist. Love how you achieved that with Bleak Sword!

@more8bit @incomingryan Thank you 🙏!! I used Pro Tools for all things Bleak Sword :) Sennheiser MKH60 microphone through SSL VHD (and Sound Devices 744T for sounds outside the studio) preamps and cranked a UAD Studer tape plugin on the master alongside a Maxim limiter in pro tools :D
