Absolutely gutted about the sudden cancellation of the Asian American Literature Festival. Years of planning ruined. What’s most concerning is that @SmithsonianAPA @Smithsonian aren’t being transparent about the decision and have ignored our emails.

Pete Jones, principal of Manurewa High, has just told @Breakfaston1 that 10% of the school's students haven't returned post lockdown. And roughly 100 of those young people were senior students who've taken supermarket & courier jobs (etc) to help keep their families afloat...
