Decades of rule by Congress, Communists and TMC in WB has created deep-rooted and well- entrenched vested interests based on Tolabazi, muscle power and illegal immigrants. Government felt comfortable to run the state through these powerful lobbies. BJP will face an uphill task.

Results of state Assembly elections announced on May 4 prove conclusively that Congress is now a completely Muslim Party, like Jinnah's Muslim League. However, what comes as a total surprise is the fact that nearly all its spokespersons are Hindus. Hindus ???

Iran has no option but to sit on the negotiating table with the U.S. again, It has demonstrated its ability to withstand the initial American onslaught. If it doesn't, because of its misplaced sense of euphoria over its so called victory, it will suffer incalculable damage.

It is not difficult to foresee the outcome of peace talks in Islamabad when the 'mediator' or actually the 'courier of messages' calls one of the belligerents as 'Evil' and 'Cancerous'. That Trump trusted Pakistan with this role proves that even he never doubted its outcome !

Trump threw the young men and women of Iran, protesting against Mullahs, under the bus. He did the same with his allies in West Asia. He tried to do the same with Israel. But that was a different kettle of fish. Netanyahu told POTUS to 'buzz off.'

Uma'ah seems headed for split. Iran attacks Sunni Arab states, in Pakistan, Munir insults Shia clergy on Eid and asks them to leave Pakistan and & go to Iran and, in India, Shias don't celebrate Eid in the usual way ; no new clothes, no swaiyan, but Sunnis do- with gusto.

The statements of Ranjan Sahni and Anil Sahni, which were recorded by the investigating officer in report number 4, were read out in court by the public prosecutor. It was stated that the boat was taken forcibly against their will. The VNS case is now under section 308.5, which has a 10-year maximum sentence.
