🩸🌍 79th World Red Cross Day 2026 Celebrated Across Tripura 🌍🩸 The Indian Red Cross Society, Tripura State Branch proudly observed World Red Cross Day 2026 under the theme “United in Humanity” and the slogan “Let Us Build Bonds of Blood.” A state-wide mega blood donation campaign was organized across all eight districts of Tripura, with the main programme held at Red Cross Bhavan, Agartala. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor of Tripura and President of IRCS Tripura State Branch, Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu. With enthusiastic participation from Red Cross members, volunteers, social workers, public representatives, and citizens, the campaign created a new state record with 373 voluntary blood donations collected in a single day. World Red Cross Day Celebration at Henry Dunant Public School, Jhilmil ❤️🌍 A special program was successfully organized on the occasion of World Red Cross Day on 8th May 2025 at Henry Dunant Public School, Jhilmil, with enthusiastic participation from the Indian Red Cross Society, Delhi Branch. The event was filled with inspiration, learning, and the spirit of humanity as students, teachers, parents, and Red Cross members came together to celebrate the legacy of Henry Dunant and the values of compassion and service. ✨ Highlights of the Program: Chief Guest Address: Dr. Dinesh Kapil, Medical Superintendent of Red Cross Hospital, Seemapuri, attended as the Chief Guest. He distributed prizes to the children and motivated them by sharing inspiring thoughts from the life of Henry Dunant. He also announced that a free health check-up camp for all students will soon be organized through Red Cross Hospital. 🎤 Student Performances: Students presented poems and speeches highlighting the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. Through their heartfelt presentations, the children beautifully conveyed messages of kindness, empathy, and service to humanity. 📖 Principal’s Address: Principal Mrs. Vinita Suri spoke about the life and vision of Henry Dunant and explained the objectives behind the establishment of the Red Cross Movement. Presence of Red Cross Team: The program was graced by the dedicated team from Indian Red Cross Society, Delhi Branch including: Mr. Neel Mani Mishra (Incharge Administration), Ms. Huma Khan, Ms. Tumpa, Ms. Asha, Mr. Sachin, Lecturer Dr. Rashmi Malhotra, Mr. Mahipal Singh, and Mr. Gyan Chand Kaushal. The team distributed school bags, stationery items, and eatables among the children as tokens of love and encouragement. 👨‍👩‍👧 Participation of Parents: Parents also joined the concluding session and appreciated the meaningful efforts made by the school and the Red Cross team in promoting humanitarian values among children. World Red Cross Day 2026 | Blood Donation Mahayagna On the occasion of World Red Cross Day celebrated on 8th May 2026, the Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur (Jharkhand) successfully organized a grand Blood Donation Mahayagna at Red Cross Bhawan, Sakchi. Continuing a remarkable humanitarian tradition of 25 years, the mega blood donation camp witnessed overwhelming participation from voluntary blood donors, youth groups, social organizations, institutions, and citizens dedicated to the noble cause of saving lives. This year’s theme, “United in Humanity,” truly came alive as people from all walks of life came together to support patients in need and strengthen the spirit of compassion and service. 79th World Red Cross Day 2026 Celebrated Across Tripura Marking the 79th World Red Cross Day 2026, the Indian Red Cross Society, Tripura State Branch organized a state-wide mega blood donation campaign under the theme “United in Humanity” with the inspiring slogan “Let Us Build Bonds of Blood.” The main celebration was held at Red Cross Bhavan, Agartala, alongside simultaneous blood donation camps across all eight districts of Tripura. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Red Cross members, volunteers, social workers, local representatives and well-wishers across the state. The occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura and President of IRCS Tripura State Branch, Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu, who inaugurated the programme and launched the mega blood donation drive by lighting the ceremonial lamp. He also interacted virtually with district committee members and blood donors, appreciating their humanitarian spirit. Addressing the gathering, dignitaries highlighted the Red Cross movement’s commitment to humanitarian service, voluntary action and social welfare initiatives. Special appreciation was extended to Tripura’s Junior Red Cross volunteers for securing the overall first position at the National Junior Red Cross Study Camp held in Bhubaneswar. The programme also featured cultural performances, distribution of certificates to Red Cross patrons, life members and health volunteers, and participation from distinguished guests including officials from Agartala Municipal Corporation, BSF and district administration. A remarkable 373 voluntary blood donors participated across West Tripura, Sepahijala, Khowai, Gomati, South Tripura, Dhalai, North Tripura, Unakoti and Sonamura Sub-Divisional Branch, creating a new record for single-day blood donation in the state. World Red Cross Day 2026 Celebrated in Chandigarh The Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh celebrated World Red Cross Day 2026 on 08 May 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross Movement. The theme for this year was “United in Humanity.” The event was graced by HE Governor of Punjab and Administrator, Chandigarh, Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, along with the Home Secretary, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman Red Cross, DGP, Senior Superintendent of Police, and other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration. On this occasion, a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized at Mahila Bhawan, Sector 38-C, Chandigarh, where 103 units of blood were successfully collected. In addition, 1000 food packets along with cold drinks, jal jeera, and water were distributed among volunteers and participants. A proud moment of the celebration was when Ms. Punam Malik, Nodal Officer – IRCS, was honored by HE Governor Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria for her outstanding humanitarian contribution and philanthropic service to society. विश्व रेडक्रॉस दिवस 2026 – उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य शाखा इण्डियन रेडक्रॉस सोसाइटी, उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य शाखा द्वारा विश्व रेडक्रॉस दिवस 8 मई 2026 का आयोजन पूरे राज्य में अत्यंत उत्साह एवं सेवा भावना के साथ सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न किया गया। महासचिव श्री रामानन्द कटियार के कुशल मार्गदर्शन में प्रदेश के विभिन्न जनपदों में अनेक जनसेवा एवं मानवता से जुड़े कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए। लखनऊ जनपद में टीबी रोगियों को पोषण पोटली वितरित की गई तथा रेडक्रॉस भवन सभागार में गोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त गाजियाबाद, सोनभद्र, जौनपुर, बाराबंकी, मिर्जापुर, चन्दौली आदि जिलों में टीबी रोगियों को गोद लेकर पोषण सामग्री वितरित की गई। वहीं जालौन, भदोही, फतेहपुर, गाजियाबाद, फर्रुखाबाद, अम्बेडकर नगर, अमेठी, श्रावस्ती सहित कई जिलों में रक्तदान शिविरों का आयोजन किया गया। झांसी में वनवासियों को भोजन सामग्री वितरित की गई। विश्व रेडक्रॉस दिवस के अवसर पर रेडक्रॉस के संस्थापक सर जीन हेनरी ड्यूनांट को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हुए “मानव बंधुत्व” विषय पर गोष्ठियों एवं जागरूकता कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन भी किया गया। यह आयोजन मानवता, सेवा, करुणा और सामाजिक सहयोग के मूल्यों को मजबूत करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम रहा। #WorldRedCrossDay #IndianRedCross #UPRedCross #मानवता #सेवा #रक्तदान #Humanity #VoluntaryService #RedCross
