Do you even know who @GaryMarcus is? He has been doing fundamental work on AI since before you were born. He is far more of an expert on AI than you, or 99.999% of self-proclaimed "experts". He has always thought about AI in the right ways. You are attacking his authority??

Women correctly intuit that a man explaining something can be him playing a status game but they try to respond by playing their own version of status games (social shaming) instead of the male response, which is to compete on knowledge.

LLMs have been around for decades, I was in cog sci and nobody thought they were a pathway to general intelligence. The fact that they are being passed off as that right now is straightforward fraud.
