After looking into the Anuradha Tiwari SC/ST Act matter, one can conclude that the General Category in India often does not even have basic legal protection. She is a woman, yet a case was filed against her over a years-old tweet that did not even mention any caste. The General Category is completely cornered. For general category men, only God can help now.

The UGC is just one small attempt to save lives like those of Rohith Vemula, Fathima Latheef, and hundreds of students we lost due to discrimination in educational institutions. The UGC is not enough. We need stricter laws framed by the very people who face this discrimination, along with better enforcement.
