In ecological applications of CNNs, we usually take site-structured data and get preds for every photo or object in a photo. In combination with validation data, we can use these pred to estimate the total number of observations of each class overall and at the site level.

For e.g., skiers were affected by numerical info like fatality risk and skill level, while non-skiers were more swayed by emotive factors, like if an activity was done for charity. That's a common expert/layperson difference shown in other contexts.
