What it's like being married to your co-founder 👇 Background: We've been married almost 17 years and have worked together at other companies before, so we knew what to expect. We're both in tech - but with very different skills (he's a data scientist with great product skills and I'm a GTM person). We do disagree about product direction sometimes, but never about how to do something since we have very different lanes. I asked him to be my co-founder on River because I'm going to be pestering him all the time about it, so might as well have equity. My favorite thing is that our schedules are completely aligned. Outage and it's date night? NP, we'll order take out and get it done. It's Friday and things are in a great place after grinding for weeks? Let's take the day off together! Also, all work trips are together 🥰 CONS Household income has taken a HUGE hit. Highs are HIGH. Lows are LOW. Have to actively manage those emotions. GOT QUESTIONS? Happy to answer.
