In the full context of the tweet, I was criticizing that very behavior that you just talked about. Conor D. Oil is a caricature of a stupid Republican. One for people to make fun of and laugh at. I can’t and won’t always be politically correct. But Interpretation is just as important as intention and reality, especially on an app where people consume information so quickly such as Twitter. So I understand how my post can be seen as adding to that. I’ll make an effort to make posts with more complexity and intention. I’m sorry for making you feel this way. I mean no harm to the transgender community, and I won’t make the mistake of misgendering fictional characters again in such a blunt manner.
