@finquig Hi Finbarr, the project is looking to assess the potential of using satellites to monitor WQ of lakes and TRAC in IRE. We collect in situ samples mainly chlorophyll, suspended solids, turbidity and dissolved organic carbon. If you need more info feel free to DM

Flat calm day today (10/08/20) sampling at Capragh Lough, Co. Monaghan...if only it wasn't for them pesky clouds!

Sampling today 06/08/20 at Barnagrow Lough, weather somewhat in our favour after an abysmal start to August.

Back to the lakes....and back to the cloud. Sampling today (29/07/20) and Whitewood Lough, Co. Meath

Change from the lakes, sampling in Dundalk Bay today 21/07/20 for TRAC water #Sentinel2 validation. Clouds stayed away just long enough to take a few hyperspectral measurements. @EPAResearchNews

The clouds finally parted for a few minutes today while sampling at Rahans Lake Co. Monaghan.

The weather may not have been in our favour for satellite remote sensing validation, but still a lovely if not very wet couple hours on Capragh Lough, Co. Monaghan 14/07/2020

After what feels like an eternity due to #covid19 restrictions sampling is about to resume in the coming days. Equipment ready and charged, sampling dates to coincide with #Sentinel2 overpass picked, now we just need the weather to be in our favour @EPAResearchNews @CopernicusEU

Looking back to last summer #Sentinel2 image taken over Lough Muckno, Co.Monaghan 27/06/19. Chlorophyll (C) was computed using Sentinel 2 data where higher concentration can be seen in green. Higher turbidity (D) can be seen in red @EPAResearchNews @CopernicusEU
