2. this is the game's 3rd year, we simply have more themes, lore, and characters; while everything and everybody obviously cannot and should not be featured in every single chapter, increasing their relevance in the overarching plot would further enhance immersion

1. Vereinsamt is proof that sometimes more is more, those "extra" parts can provide the time and space needed to wrap up or elaborate multiple plotlines without breaking the pacing or having to make unfortunate compromises in terms of scope
