In lieu of today's @bandcamp layoffs, I've gone ahead and removed the paywall from the 'Bandcamp Anxiety' essay I published via @_FirstFloor last week.
It seems that many of the worries I outlined in that piece are coming true even faster than I initially anticipated.

Novel intros can 100% be skipped unless it's a diff author nerding out like Sontag on Artaud or Gass on Gaddis. All other times it's usually some academic filling space to pay for a dinner. "Though Wilde wrote the novel, the actual words were rendered by a printing press machine"
