I am not a member of the Delhi Gymkhana, but I do hold the Associate membership of India International Centre ( IIC). I will shed no tears if the latter is shut down. Delhi Golf ⛳️ Club also needs to go— that should be preserved as a green belt, open to the public.

KC: These clubs were set up by Britishers for exclusive racial social bonding. And our Indian establishment carried forward the same culture after independence. Is there any other parallel in any other part of the democratic world in which such luxurious facilities are provided to the civil servants . Look at how funds were used by the babus for upgrading the sports club set up on their exclusive residential habitat. When babus are pushing for reforms and selling of public assets , let these clubs be put up for sale as well.

I have no issue in @DelhiGymkhana retaining the right to use the said 27.5 acres land. However, it must pay land rent of 12% pa i.e. ₹2,000 crs monthly. Or they can pay GoI ₹2 lakh crs to buy the said property. Over & above that they must pay property tax on that land.
