Based in eastern DRC, journalist @@JonasKiriko works in a conflict-affected area that is particularly challenging for journalists. He has faced pressure during field reporting, with some individuals trying to dissuade him from pursuing his investigations. That’s why he chose to secure his sensitive information using the SafeBox Network: so that his investigative work would be unstoppable.

Slashing and uprooting signficantly reduces weed ☘️abundance more than biocontrol. Uprooting at an early stage before flowering is the best method for control of the Kongwa weed. Slashing provide temporal control as it re-grows after 20 days.

Livestock farmers are also not spared. Farmers such as Boniface Kedmon lost 10 of his animals due to water and pasture shortages. He was also forced to sell 20 more, leaving him with only 5 goats and 2 cows. They also consume large amounts of water, causing drought on farms.
