@ronoc_16 Terrible to hear Conor, hope you’re on the mend! @GalwayCoCo and @EPAIreland were informed immediately on the 13th August but they have a very poor record of tackling sewage pollution on Inis Mór.

@inis_mor I’m just learning of this now. I was swimming in that exact spot on Tuesday! There were no signs up about it. I’ve had mild stomach trouble since Wednesday. I thought it was something I ate...clearly not!

@fahyjoseph Yup, sand abstraction and currently stone crushing on the second site. The sand and stone are being used for construction - (some of which are unauthorised developments) and being sold.

Galway CoCo should be regulating this, they issued an enforcement notice and left it at that. NPWS and possibly EPA should be getting involved due to proximity to SAC, but no interest at all.
