The posts about giving ARCs to family and friends who never read them actually make me feel better about finishing this revert novel. 😅 I really don’t want people I know reading it and wondering, “is this about me?”

I’ve edited for British authors for years, so switching back and forth between American and UK English can still trip me up sometimes. But this is one of the fun parts of editing. 📝

When you’ve learned American English, but edit a UK Regency novel, you learn interesting things you have to triple-check… like “inquire” vs “enquire” and “curtsying” vs “curtseying.” And, of course, having to remember that it’s a single ‘quotation,’ not “two.”
