Europe has created some of the greatest companies on earth. 🇪🇺 Which one is your favourite?

Each time I travel to Italy, I wonder about the massive economic gap. Why is the North one of the wealthiest areas in Europe, while the South remains so extremely poor? Isn’t it the same country, with the same language, culture, taxes, and laws? Can someone please explain?

I don't know if this is a Europe, Spain, or Barcelona thing. But there's actually strong social pressure here to constantly show that you're "living the life." It's very similar to the "keeping up with the Joneses" or flexing culture in the US. Except instead of comparing homes, cars, job titles, and trophy wives, you're comparing vacations and nights out via Instagram stories, reels, and photo albums. I often feel compelled to do certain things that I don't really care for. Just so that I won't be the idiot who, when people ask what I did all weekend or summer, says, "Not much. I just chilled at home." Is it really such a crime to do nothing? I actually enjoy my home, my Netflix, my cooking at home, and my not going anywhere just because it's a long weekend, the summer, or whatever stupid public holiday. My home is actually very comfortable. But no, "I must" pack my entire summer with as many activities and trips as possible, otherwise I'm letting life pass me by! I'm so sick of this FOMO culture, and I'm actually starting to embrace JOMO culture (joy of missing out). Almost like an act of protest against this "hedonism for its own sake" mentality that many people in Europe seem to have.
