Released in August 1979, Bauhaus's debut single "Bela Lugosi's Dead" is a seminal 9.5-minute post-punk masterpiece that is widely considered the first true gothic rock record. The track's slow-building rhythm, hypnotic dub bass, and vampiric charisma laid the foundation for the entire goth subculture. [ The Origins and Recording ] ]Shortly after forming in Northampton, England, in 1978, Bauhaus-vocalist Peter Murphy, guitarist Daniel Ash, bassist David J, and drummer Kevin Haskins-went into Beck Studios in Wellingborough. In a single six-hour session, they recorded "Bela Lugosi's Dead" on their very first try. The track's stark, haunting ambiance was created organically, relying on David J's descending bassline, minimal dub guitar, and a cinematic echo effect triggered on the snare drum and guitar.

“If I was Governor I would have vetoed the Riley Gaines Act” Georgia Democrat running for Governor, Keisha Lance Bottoms, wants boys to compete with the girls. GA, VOTE like your daughter's future depends on it. Because it does

@pmcginley10 @Revolvermag this album shows their diversity as creative artists, a good front-to-back recommendation for a non-tones fan… a lot of people sleep on it but this album is incredible…

I’ve obviously been to my share of hardcore/metal shows but I’ve never had the feeling of “oh shit this is about to go south and get really violent” quite like I did at a Hank Williams III show. Those people did not come to play around

with my lad being a mega #lego superfan of course that means i’m paying closer attention to their marketing & creativity… this is a killer thread which blew me away… kudos to a successful & humble CEO…

In 2004, LEGO was on the brink of bankruptcy. A $230 million loss the year before. Global sales had fallen 29% in a year. The board brought in a 34-year-old to save it. His first move was not a strategy deck. It was something most CEOs would never do.
