@Iamsamirarora Many chase US stocks for returns but ignore estate tax — 40% above just $60k for non-resident investors is massive. Safer way is via feeder or international mutual funds from India. Cross-border investing always has hidden risks.

These days everyone in India wants to invest in US stocks and fund managers are doing PMS to invest in US (where stocks will presumably be held in individual's names). Hope these investors are aware of the 40% estate tax if they pass away (applicable to foreign investors with a low threshold of only US$ 60,000). Google away, for further information, before getting carried away.

There's sidelined Then there's strategically sidelined. I'm now in multiple spot positions for higher that are already in profit and SL trailed to risk-free (realized). Everything went exactly according to plan. I stuck to my plan (as always), as I never switch up. Posted these plans before April, before the "reverse titanic" move. Followed and executed as planned. That's the difference between me and the majority of these wannabe's on CX who have to larp there way to prove a track record. Mine is all timestamped & never changed. Saw so many complain and whine about being sidelined. I was sidelined and comfortable because that is what I wanted to do and I stated that well before the reversal occurred. If you didn't publicly say you were gonna stay sidelined before the move, only after... then we are NOT the same. Mine was strategic, yours wasn't.

It’s just common sense applied to the game. There was nothing mystical about the forecast. Just logic, experience, and an understanding of how whales operate, and math. The market leaves clues, but most refuse to see them.

Retail is never warned about a black-swan. They just wake up to -50% on their portfolio, but they all believe whales will be warning them about an imminent huge pump (ETFs related) so they can position themselves to profit BIG? LoL.
