Ethereum just launched ERC-8004 on mainnet. The first on-chain identity standard built specifically for AI Agents. The problem it solves is more fundamental than most people realize. 🧵

Why does this matter? Right now, AI Agents are anonymous. You have no idea if an agent is trustworthy, what it's capable of, or whether it's failed before. Post ERC-8004, agents can verify each other. Protocols can set access rules based on reputation. This is infrastructure. Not an app.

ERC-8004 does three things: - Identity Registry — Agents get an on-chain ID (ERC-721 based), describing what they do and how to reach them - Reputation Registry — Agent history is trackable, reputation is accumulative - Validation Registry — Third parties can verify and attest to an Agent's behavior Translation: Agents now have a resume and a credit score.

We built an inscription protocol on EVM in 2023. Peak week: 3,000 ETH in volume. Then it died. Now AI Agents are autonomously issuing onchain assets. Did we build this too early — or just build it wrong? 🧵

@saul_cryptoman Reality was messier: a contract bug let anyone authorize anyone's assets. Volume was real. Community was real. The code just wasn't.

@MilkRoad We tried something similar in 2023 — inscriptions on EVM event data, FT+NFT hybrid. The thesis was identical: assets without platforms. We just didn't have the infrastructure layer Coinbase is building now.

Coinbase just launched Agentic Wallets! This is their first wallet system built specifically for autonomous AI agents to manage funds, hold identity, and transact onchain. (All without any human clicking buttons). Here's what Agentic Wallets actually offer: 1/ Programmable spending policies. You define the rules, the agent operates within them. Think allowances, not blank checks. 2/ Non-custodial identity. Your agent gets its own persistent onchain identity. It can build reputation, hold assets, interact with protocols as itself. 3/ Zero fees Transactions are gasless with any token on @base. This solves the single biggest UX nightmare for agent developers. No more agents getting stuck because they ran out of $ETH for fees. No more writing custom gas management logic. Instead, developers can now build agents with real financial capabilities out of the box. Fund wallets, send payments, trade, earn yield. No custom transaction logic required. As for protocols? A new user class is coming. AI agents that interact with your contracts 24/7.

Too early or too wrong? Honestly: the thesis was right. The execution killed us. A contract vulnerability. Not enough runway. Community collapsed. But the idea didn't die. I'll be watching the AI × new asset issuance space closely here. Next time, we won't lose the same way.

No VC. What we tried to do in 2023 — return asset issuance to individuals — agents are doing it now, just differently.

This was our originally planned roadmap, but due to some force majeure reasons, we are unable to realize it. We express our deepest apologies. The surplus #INSC+ tokens have been destroyed etherscan.io/tx/0x81dcd394c…. The remaining INSC+ tokens will continue to serve as rewards for migration. The draft of #ORUS is here github.com/insevm/Ordinal… If someone manages to implement our roadmap and provides a reward program for #INSC+ holders, I will assist them in gaining the attention of the INS.EVM community. This is the last thing we can do for #INSC+ holders.

To all members of the INS.EVM community, I extend my sincere greetings to you. In recent days, both my team members and I have suffered physical setbacks, which led us to halt the development of this project. It has been challenging to regroup in a short period. This is a regrettable situation for us. Moving forward, I will disclose our original plans and blueprints and will proceed with the destruction of 3,883,525(4,301,000 - 16,699 * 25) INSC+ tokens. We hope our ideas can be realized, even if not directly through our efforts. It would bring us joy to see them come to fruition.
