@WinBackLeWest I'm well aware it does interrupt natural cycles somewhat but so does the runoff from farms. Out of both, which does more damage already? I just doubt this is going to have as much of an impact as people are making out. I think they're overreacting about singular details.

No, because people have use for that fresh water, which the water cycle can't account for.
They're building one in Alberta and already saying it could lead to water usage restrictions and divert water away from crop use.

If data centres are "using all of the water" then I guess plants and trees are too. We should probably cut those down and even rip the grass out for good measure. Seriously though; water is recyclable and all of this is just a retarded virtue signalling contest.

Ever really compared honey to maple syrup? Maple syrup has 4.1× more potassium 6.7× more zinc 10.5× more magnesium 17× more calcium 32× more Vitamin B2/riboflavin 36× more Manganese And 36% less sugar than honey. I’m not telling anyone to go out and buy a jug of maple syrup although I do use small amounts as a sweetener in a few recipes. I’m just saying maybe honey is overhyped. Numbers based on USDA data (100g portions)

Don't get me wrong though. I can sympathize with the 0.1% who aren't creating massive environmental hazards. They're easy to filter out just by looking at them.
