Какие САМЫЕ обскурные игры вы знаете? Очень надеюсь, что сюда придут геймеры из разных стран и назовут игры, которые за пределами пары регионов никому не известны. Я начну: Русская Рулетка 2: Закрытые планеты Шутер(?) про путешествие между планетами и боевые машины.

Ceotom: Basically, to activate it, you need to press: XInput controllers with a proper DInput implementation: Left Stick Up + Back/View/Select + Y + B DualShock 4 / DualSense: Left Stick Up + L2 + Triangle + Cross 8BitDo SF30 Pro in DInput mode: Left Stick Up + L + B + X .....

Oh yeah, in vanilla Atomic Bomberman on Windows 10, the activation somehow didn’t work for me. But with a winmm wrapper present, it worked. And yes, the head only gets applied to one bomber.

So I send this info over to Ceotom, and he decides to figure out which actual buttons correspond to those values. Right now we’re both absolutely mind-blown. I’ll let him take it from here.

And guess what: ChatGPT actually managed to dig up the exact values that trigger it, and also gave me the code for a small C program that contained those values and was supposed to detect the corresponding button presses on a gamepad.

But the button combination shown there never worked at all, no matter what you tried. So there were two theories: either the actual combination was different, or the feature was never implemented.

For context: on the game disc, in the SOUNDS folder, there was an image saying that by holding down specific buttons on a gamepad, you could put Kurt Dekker’s head — the Atomic Bomberman programmer — onto a character.

So here’s the deal. Yesterday I was trying to run AB’s files, including the EXE, through paid ChatGPT. At some point, almost casually, I asked the neural net to explain why there was a reference to the KFACE.ANI file inside the EXE if there seemed to be no way to activate it.

@buldjat Ну а про Atomic Bomberman думаю ты в курсе. Вот ещё факты: - Сетевая игра поддерживает только IPX-протокол (LAN only) - Есть неудобный SDK для создания арен и добавления графики (запускается под DosBox) - Да и в целом игра чувствуется как будто недоделанной. Даже оф. патчей нет.

@buldjat Soldat (2002) Очень незаслуженно забытый сайдскроллер арена-шутер. Онлайн жив до сих пор и даже в 2020м сиквел вышел.

@buldjat Серия арканойдов Ricochet (от Reflexive). Играется довольно залипательно.

@buldjat NoX (2000) от Westwood. Не знаю, можно ли этот гибрид арена-шутера и диабло-клона обскурщиной, но выглядит именно так. А играется достаточно годно, особенно в мультиплеере.

@buldjat Lode Runner 2 - самая обскурная и незаслуженно забытая головоломка из 1998го, даже опередившая своё время. - Очень нестандартное управление персонажем - Разнообразные уровни, заставляющие прям подумать - Арт-дизайн очень вайбовый - Есть редактор уровней.....и мультиплеер (лол).
