"An honest snapshot of the NHS."
@LancsHospitals have introduced a new art installation, made by @_100voices, which showcases the voice of NHS employees and patients.
There have been lots of ‘firsts’ in terms of trialling technology or using existing technology in new contexts, and we’re hoing that the end result – our Singing Willow – will be a space to experience a completely unique collections of voices.

We also collaborated with Bosco Kante and his @ElectroSpit to explore how this instrument can be used with performers who’ve had their voice box removed.
Can You Hear My Voice is the first of the Sound Voice Project, exploring voice and identity with people who live with voice loss. Here’s our founder, Hannah, speaking about the project! @BrittenPears@FEDORA_Platform
And this is why our nomination for @FEDORA_Platform is so meaningful, because it supports our vision to create a space for people to reflect and consider the world around them, and bring about understanding and connection between people.

‘Paul’, part of the Sound Voice Project, is a piece written for and in collaboration with Paul Jameson, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2017. Here he is, singing alongside @RGCWbaritone.

See you under The Singing Willow👋🌳
Here is a clip of The Willow Tree, performed together with professional opera singers and individuals with voice loss.
Out next step of the project is to collect as many voices as possible globally, with the help of @FEDORA_Platform and our crowdfunders.
Bringing together opera, where the human voice is trained and pushed to extremes, and people whose voices have been lost or significantly weakened, was the starting point of the Sound Voice Project. 🧵 @FEDORA_Platform@BrittenPearsfedora-platform.com/funding-progra…
