It's been sweet playing shows despite the unceasing stream of horrible news. Sad and furious but keeping it together for the 5 shows left in Dordrecht, Breda, Lille, Paris and Frankfurt. Fuck Israel, Free Palestine.

US endorsement, funding, and enabling of Netanyahu's fascist policies and genocidal retaliations may boost political and military careers, but I think it’s fair to question whether they actually make the world safer for Jews. Same goes for fallacious accusations of anti-Semitism.

@deerhoof My understanding is that the billions are mostly weapons grants? Effectively subsidizing the US military-industrial complex. With of course the added bonus of maintaining a colonial outpost of US imperialism in the Middle East.

for all the billions american taxpayers gift to israel every year, i would like to see a peaceful outcome. instead we watch our tax dollars sent to increasingly rightwing versions of the israeli government increasingly illegally settling and increasingly committing war crimes

Learned about Victor Jara after playing in a venue named in his honor. The junta tortured public figures as a terror. They broke all the bones in Jara's hands, smashed them to paste. They hammered out all his teeth. They shot him and left him in the street for his mother to find.
