Not because it’s too close to the original name in spelling but in pronunciation in both English and Korean. Unless it’s meant to be pronounced N J Z. But I’m just thinking out loud. The girls should win this decision too 💪

NJZ is perfect! ✨ I was thinking of ‘NewJeanZ’ when they asked for a new name. My only concern is the legality. ADOR/HYBE has the rights to the original name & I think NJZ is different enough to avoid copyright infringement but it needs to be officially approved by the courts…

@internetsnathan If he had gone through Jeanz’ team instead of popping in, it wouldn’t have been an issue beyond a few hysterical hate posts. It gained traction amongst normie bunnies because going through the team protecting the girls is so vital when we are talking about young women.
