"Yours to Discover" by internetVin My little talk at Toronto Tech Week 2025. This was a new format and setting for me, I was pretty nervous about it, but I thought I would just try it out and see what I would learn. Thank you for everything so far.

Weather Stage 東京（35.68N, 139.69E）上空の大気の鉛直構造を、平行投影に近い等角風の視点で分解したステージとして可視化する動的インフォグラフィック。地上・850・700・500・300 hPa の 5 層を鉛直に積み上げ、各層に (a) 気温で色が変わるカラーグリッド (b) 実際の風向に流れる流線パーティクル(c)雲量（低/中/高）のドット密度を配置。層間を鉛直ガイド線で結び、白い引き出し線＋丸囲み番号+実数値（気温℃・風速 m/s・ジオポテンシャル高度）のアノテーションを添える。Open-Meteo（GFS）から48時間予報を取得し、1時間=2秒で補間しながら自動進行・ループする（取得失敗時は合成データにフォールバック）。データ出典: Open-Meteo #fridaydebugview #debugart #creativecoding #glsl

That algorithm switch they made a few days ago that prioritized mutuals was so shocking, like the difference in experience and information I had access to, it fundamentally shifted my relationship social media, I always understood these concepts, but that specific shift was so contextual to the projects I've been doing lately, just hit me way harder with a deeper level of understanding. It affects so many things. It affects everything.

I don't understand why they switched the algorithm back or adjusted it again, the change they made that focused on mutuals was perfect, you can blend it with unexpected things that might inspire or diverge as well, but they had it with that feed, if the goal is to optimize for unregretted time spent, they need to go back. Damn.

How that 3 day period with the new algorithm felt like

All of the kinds of posts I'm making right now would've ripped a few days ago because I'm writing for the mutuals and the networks that are connected to them. But they are like capped right now, until I refactor my posts into a kind of abstraction, that hits for this generalized algorithm, I'm trying to interact with the communities and systems that I am a part of, but this algorithm is limiting all that shit.
