Tempted fate big-style today and booked flights to Guernsey for September because it’s the only place I really really want to go rn. Everything crossed I get go and give @inthestillpoint many awkwardly long hugs and do ALL of the laughing.

@GuernseyBRC @PaulSrodz They were a few millimetres to a cm or two? lots of different sizes between that range and in the thousands! A lot of tiny legs when you look up close and sea slater shape, but much tinier.

Sea swimmers of Twitter: just had a swim with thousands of tiny bugs that looked like miniscule wood lice! They also nipped me…a lot of jellies in the water too. Perhaps jellyfish larvae or? #seaswimming #coldwaterswimming

@GuernseyBRC @PaulSrodz Having just googled sea slaters, I’m not so sure. These were definitely not hiding away under rocks - the open sea was teeming with them! Unless a mass spawning of some sort?
