If you're Filipino, spend money in the Philippines as much as possible. Support Filipino artists, Philippine tourism, small businesses, venues, restaurants and bars, craftsmen and trades. Even if the war ends soon, the economic effects will linger for years.






The prevalence of barkers, wiper boys, and 7/11 door openers is a sign of an economy that isn’t creating enough formal work. Where jobs are insufficient, people improvise. If you want fewer of them, the answer is job creation: dignified, stable, accessible, and at scale.
