@intrydr the playerbase in japan is mostly children, right? maybe not a vocal community, but the japanese playerbase outnumbers the american playerbase about 10:1

@intrydr @uglibimbo I feel like you’re purposely avoiding to acknowledge that it wasn’t a “gnc transmasc” label at the time and that it only evolved as a trait later on, and the fetishy part is that it wasn’t at all about kate’s feelings or intentions and was purely for “yaoi for the sake of yaoi”

not to comment on That One Indie Show Discourse but i do think its interesting that everyone forgot the red one was once gnc he/him transmasc. what happened to that

@kavrisz @intrydr yep like a person exists to exist but a character exists to convey a story and the authors intentions.. they don't spawn a certain way, every little thing is deliberate and sends some kind of message so it's not a bad thing to question decisions like that

@uglibimbo @kavrisz judging by the reactions to my tweet, there are actually a lot of people who would like to see themselves represented. there should be nothing wrong with existing as a guy who happens to look like what society perceives as a girl. isn't that what queer rep is all about?

@uglibimbo @kavrisz i get it in the context of parts being scrubbed and backtracked because it reveals the intentions behind how a character has been created. but i also think a blanket statement akin to "gnc transmascs with big boobs are fetishy" are quite harmful
