34 years ago today: The Chelsea and Stamford Bridge of 1992 couldn’t be further away from the institution that exists now. Sheffield United’s winning goal that day belongs to a very different era too.

Has the increase in wiggle room taken their budget up to about £750,000 now? #aplaceinthesun

Hi @efl how come James Beadle and the ref are ok to be in the same colour kit? Not enough money in the game for them to have a different colour shirt, when keepers at step 7 are expected to change kit? #BIRMID

In Jeepers Creepers, the actor playing the Creeper, Jonathan Breck, was kept hidden from the cast during early filming. Justin Long and Gina Philips didn’t see the monster until cameras rolled — their first terrified reactions are largely real.

1/2 Ladies Bridge has 5 arches, the last one on the Wicker side housed the Wicker Tilt. Over time the river was narrowed by further building and the last span hidden from view. It can still be seen from the Castlegate side on a sunny day like today #Sheffield

@HLTCO Me and my lad stopped going to watch Blades 4 years ago when he was 16/17 and started playing senior football. I watch him now instead. As much as I still watch some games on tv, the Premier League offers little to me. VAR/the desperation to rule out goals is a big part of that.

I’m never sure if it’s just me getting older (quite possibly is) but it does feel as though football has lost a huge amount of the spontaneity and beauty which made it so joyful for me as a kid. Maybe that just happens to everyone eventually?

🗣️ "It's not fun anymore. I think there's an increasing number of people who look at football and think 'I can't be bothered'. This is not the beautiful game any more." 🤔 Thoughts?
