btw if i wrote a story in EN and had ppl meeting each other for the first time or something, going "Nice to meet you *first name*, I would absolutely hope that any JP translation would change it to "lastname-san" or whatever ways of address fit the context in Japanese.

i like the singing parts, their voices are pretty, but as a whole the song feels like the writers...just kinda threw shit at a wall and didn't even wait to see if it'd stick and theres not enough variety or play or self-awareness to feel like it was even intentional

absolutely this! if the author chose JP for a specific reason/cultural stuff, I completely would understand keeping honorifics and such. But if it's just cuz of native lang = writing lang, there's not much reason to keep it in the EN ver unless ur target is to teach JP

ive been watching a bunch of old kpop videos and concert vids and whatever and theyre.. so in sync?? recent kpop concerts are closer to western ones where they hop around and only sorta follow a choreo, but i miss old ones. i still tend to prefer synchronized dance in kpop, too
