No..but the government forces you to sell at 10/- until they review the prices in the middle of the month ..What will you do?

@invul_23 @kamauwaruhiu no one can force you to sell below the buying price, but they can force you to sell at the recommended pump price. prices are determined by supply and demand and by government rrp. the fuel they sold at 176 they didnt buy it at 196.

@NyangLLP @kamauwaruhiu Hakuna profit 😂 You are forced to sell fuel at 176/- per liter yet your supplier is asking for 196/- per liter for the next stock..How are you going to cover the difference? You hoard the remaining stock to increase the margins so that you can afford to restock.

@NyangLLP @kamauwaruhiu Government through Epra determines the price of fuel having considered all factors..The factors are beyond our control how does a marketer cover an increase of 24% when their profits are only 5% of the product cost?

@invul_23 @kamauwaruhiu doesnt matter..those losses were & will be there regardless, and are already covered by other ways. this is strictly speaking from the fuel business. when the situation gets volatile, they hike prices as they literally just did. even if the prices fell, they wouldnt sell at that

@invul_23 @kamauwaruhiu I believe fuel doesn't expire, I stand guided though. Now I have fuel I bought and was selling at 176 making profit the price goes 206 clean 30 bob top. I finish this batch n bring in one I'm suppose to sell 206 still making profit; ndugu nielimishe.

@invul_23 @kamauwaruhiu Do you understand mathematics? They cant make that much loss. So what if they have to restock? They didnt lose any sales because there was more than enough demand. They made free money overnight.

It is actually a crime under Kenyan law for public officers to give false/misleading information. We have been told a bunch of open lies about the fuel situation with Ruto himself, as recently as 30th March, telling us his “strategic interventions”had “mitigated price increases” only to hit us with a 40 shilling increase two weeks later. Let me not even mention that “expert” or his string of lies. We are placing the pain at the pump squarely on Ruto.
