An emotional service and tremendous turn out to honour Matt and it showed how loved he was. I hope that it helps bring some solace to his family at this most difficult of times. It was important to be there to pay my respects to a manager of Chelsea Ladies. The club has always been a family and Matt will forever be a treasured part of it. RIP Matt and rest well.

Today in particular, on the day you were laid to rest, this one’s for you, Matt Beard. ❤️ I’ll never forget your advice, guidance and for being a coach who was genuinely supportive of inclusivity in sport. Miss you.
