BREAKING: Five kidnapped victims have been rescued alive in Kogi State as security forces intensify their offensive against terrorist and bandit hideouts.
According to the Kogi State Government, troops of the 12 Brigade, supported by the Nigerian Air Force and other security agencies, rescued the victims after sustained air and ground operations forced the kidnappers to flee and abandon their captives.
The government says the latest rescue follows recent successful operations in Bunu District, where terrorist camps were destroyed, suspects were neutralized, and more victims were freed.
Authorities also announced that the rescued victims will receive medical treatment and psychological support as they recover from their ordeal.
Let’s hope the ongoing operations continue until every victim is rescued and every criminal camp is dismantled.

This video shows SP Abdurrazak Hassan, Commander of the EOD Unit in Zamfara, recorded just yesterday — unaware it would be his final mission.
By Monday, he and two other officers were gone.
Their armoured vehicle reportedly struck an IED planted by terrorists along the Anka–Bagega axis while on patrol targeting armed groups.
All three were trained bomb disposal experts.
After the blast, reports say armed bandits emerged from nearby bushes, set the damaged vehicle on fire, and disappeared back into the forest.
A grim reminder: even those trained to detect explosives are not immune to the growing IED threat in the North West.
May their souls rest in peace.
What is the best to counter the rising use of IEDs in Nigeria? This needs to be addressed quickly before they start using it in the South!

“One last thing Mr Gov, if you’re waiting for the perfect time to go rescue those children, they’ll keep them there for long and even marry them off to other k!dnapp£rs. We’re ready to enter the bush with you today or tomorrow and we know there’ll be c0llateral damag£ and we’re ready for it. I’ve studied these b@nd!ts for so long I’ve come to realise that if they push and you don’t push back, they’ll see it as a weakness and start asking for levy from oyo state farmers”

Borno has just reintegrated 720 ex–Boko Haram fighters plus 992 spouses and about 2,050 children — over 3,700 people in one batch alone, under the so‑called “Borno Model”.
Victims are still in IDP camps, graves are still fresh, and yet government is busy “welcoming back” ex-associates.
Do they really want this menace to stop, or are they normalising it in the name of peace?
