IPCC opened its 64th Session in Bangkok today, which also marks the last Plenary for IPCC Secretary Abdalah Mokssit ahead of his retirement. IPCC Chair Jim Skea expressed heartfelt thanks for his rich contribution & genuine commitment, and invited delegates to wish him well.

On behalf of the Royal Thai Government, Dr. Raweewan Bhuridej, Permanent Secretary @mnre_TH welcomed the IPCC to Bangkok for its 64th Session. At the opening, she said “IPCC reports serve as a cornerstone to climate policymaking at the global, regional & local levels”
