The last speaker @steipete references was yours truly😂where I made the point that crypto isn't all bad and that blockchain technology is incredibly important for a sovereign agentic future and he gracefully made the point that he found the technology interesting and that he doesn't hate crypto (as a technology) but that he really dislikes the culture. Unfortunately he was exposed to the worst part of that culture people launching unauthorized memecoins then blaming him for changing the name which 1. he had no choice anyway and 2. It wasn't even his token amongst many other traumatic things that happened to him. For those of us long enough in the industry we become immune to this behavior and ignore it but that still doesn't make it "ok". If this part of crypto does not change we will continue to struggle to onboard the rest of the world because its not normal or acceptable behavior. @steipete is an incredibly optimistic and forward looking person and he is also the face of the agentic movement. If we’re going to convince them (and others) that this technology matters, it starts with something almost trivial; basic human decency and being kind and respectful to the people who show up and build. Then we can truly demonstrate to him and everyone else who are serious builders that a future of sovereign agents outside the control of corporate giants requires true digital property rights which is only really possible through blockchain which gives us the freedom to transact and to genuinely own our digital assets, including naturally our digital money.

AI works like a calculator for design, making it easier for anyone—even without creative training—to create a personalized snowboard design. I’d love to design my own snowboard, but I can’t right now. AI can definitely help me do that in the near future.
