I had the honor of attending the Governance Training for Executive Directors and Steering Committee Members on Monday . Anchored on the theme ,creating a Risk Intelligent Organization. It was a powerful reminder that strong institutions are not built on reaction, but on foresight where governance, safeguarding, and risk awareness are embedded into everyday decision making. We have successfully completed the morning session, focusing on the four pillars of safeguarding (Policy, People, Procedures, and Accountability). Organizations also completed a Spiderweb tool for Risk Audit to evaluate their current standing. Main Conclusions: Safeguarding knowledge must be cascaded to all staff levels. Risk matrices should be included in future reports. Safeguarding must address both internal and external environments. Strong Child Safeguarding policies are essential to preventing peer-to-peer abuse. #LocallyLedDevelopment #CAPAIDSUganda #SafeguardingPolicy
