SC’s suo motu action on the NCERT Class 8 chapter is a serious moment. Reports say no legal expert reviewed it; copies withdrawn. If a private publisher did this, consequences would be immediate. Publishing requires legal vetting and equal accountability. Textbooks shape trust.
