Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a high-level review on the implementation of welfare schemes for marginalized sections across J&K. Emphasizing upgraded facilities at Anganwadi Centres and measurable nutrition outcomes under Poshan, he called for field-driven decision-making and proposed Composite Homes for orphans, elderly, and destitute women. The Social Welfare Department is implementing 46 schemes with a ₹4,361 Cr outlay, covering nearly 9 lakh beneficiaries.
