God’s honesty is never contingent on ours! The truthfulness and faithfulness of God are absolute and unchanging and necessary.: If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself’ (2 Tim 2:13). Grace is first —prevenient, powerful, exposing our dishonesty.
@jonearls@pastorfry Wesley's A prayer for those seeking. Come Holy Ghost for thee I call, Spirit of burning, come! Refining fire, go through my heart, illuminate my soul; scatter thy life through every part, and sanctify the whole... No longer then my heart shall mourn while purified by grace. #351

@rayortlund@jonearls John Wesley We agree that true Christianity implies a destruction of the kingdom of sin and a renewal of the soul in righteousness... But HERE WE DIVIDE I believe even babes in Christ while they keep themselves do not commit sin.

Yea and sinless perfection too. (Q)"How so do you not believe it" (Wesley) YES I DO and in what sense I have shown in the sermon on Christian perfection. V 12 pg 70
3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Teaching that says one can deliberately sin and not immediately repent and remain a christian is a lie
