IRC’s work to protect and restore the Landmarks is grounded in long-term planning, research and collaboration. Community support helps sustain ongoing restoration and stewardship efforts that benefit both the environment and the people who rely on these landscapes.

At the Bommer Canyon Fuel Modification restoration site, IRC is adding to the native vegetation planted last year with supplemental seeding and the installation of more container plants. Restoration efforts will take place throughout 2026.

Our Plant Materials Program ensures we always have the right species on hand for restoration. By collecting small, genetically diverse seed samples and cultivating them into plants, IRC builds a robust inventory that supports restoration projects. 🌱🌼
