Ada Dinckal, a PhD student from La Laguna University, Tenerife, Spain, following in the IRM tradition of drawing a pig whilst blindfolded. Ada has been at the IRM for 3 months using magnetism and QDM to investigate paleolithic archeological sites. @UMNCSE @UMNEarthScience

Last week (12/17/2023) we made the 2 millionth measurement on our 2G magnetometers! Combined total on the IRM's Model 760-3 single sample RF-SQUID (serial # 7, installed in 1986; below left) and a Model 755 DC-SQUID u-channel (installed October 2008; below right) magnetometers.
