Yet another pivot in the conversation. Volpe played injured sporadically with a shot after Cabby arrived and then had surgery. Its low bar to say Cabby has played better. As the other guy pointed out, a healthy Volpe has also had small sample spurts at the same level. The honest level headed way to look at this is within the framework of his entire career (Cabby isn't a young prospect off the farm he is near 30) and the underlying metrics. They all scream pump the friggin breaks. However you are so ball deep into hating on Volpe you are ready to put the guy in monument park. I like everyone else want the guy who plays the best: Volpe, Cabby or Joe Blow.

The point is you are using a super small sample size that neither his underlying metrics or career stats support because you really hate the guy he is replacing.
