What people Miss about CFL vs American Football is that they're two pretty much completely different games, a lot of people compare them because the game pieces are similar, but at the end of the day aside from them running, throwing and kicking, there's like no comparison...

This is the dumbest rule I’ve ever witnessed. You missed a kick but it hit the back of the end zone so you get a point to win the game? So dumb.

@IsaacPunts This is a tired post. This scenario rarely happened and now they've amended the rule so that it won't happen again. If you study the history of the rouge and the game, it makes sense. If you watch the current NFL kickoff rules and then you bitch about the CFL, something is off.

@FlamesAdvocate Yeah but the CFL literally just has always had good return rates on kicks. I'm not sure how much of that is based on just the field size as well as the rouge, but it was a quirk, it was one point, occasionally it would be the difference in a game.

@IsaacPunts The NFL's rule doesn't award arbitrary points and the NFL's and UFL's new kicking rules have drastically increased the number of kick returns AND as a bonus has improved player safety on the returns

@FlamesAdvocate Well kicking any ball out the back is a point, it's trying to deter TB's on kicks, the endzone is 20 yards long and they're trying to prevent the taking a knee in the endzone epidemic just like the NFL's dumb kick off rule, so instead of a TB, it's 1 point and back out to the 20.

@IsaacPunts I get where you're coming from but I think some things are inherently dumb. You're having 2 separate benchmarks for the same thing. Why wouldn't catching a pass out the back count as points?

@FlamesAdvocate idk man, hard to call something a dumb rule when it's just a rule.. It's like calling castling or an En Peen passant Dumb in chess as you're looking in as checkers player. Now that it's changing the game doesn't get better or worse, just different.
