There's a hundred reasons why I don't believe anything will replace Roblox anytime soon but the biggest is there's already a decades long entrenched user and developer base with deep rich diverse culture. People don't just hop ship to a new platform in a couple years.

@iscriptfast @Roblox_RTC Social Media platforms are 13+ for a reason. The playerbase of Roblox is drastically varied, as there are no age restrictions. It's a different situation when young children are unsafe online.

Indiana is suing Roblox. The Attorney General is alleging the platform has not made sufficient measures to protect children against predators online, and the effectiveness of the safety features that were released “remain to be seen”.

Saying Roblox isn’t safe for kids is roughly similar to saying McDonalds is a place you can find french fries Unfortunately, McDonald’s isn’t the only place you can get french fries and Roblox isn’t the only unsafe online place for kids (anywhere online is unsafe)

@Zernov_X That is an extremely valid point but after spending a decade and a half and years developing on the platform its just really upsetting to see how they treat us

Its absolutely crazy how Roblox is so willing to just trample over developers livelihoods and their communities by completely nuking a whole genre. Due to medical issues I haven't been able to create new games for months, I've only been able to maintain Draw & Donate after Roblox has unfairly killed my other games (Explained in the photo). It is absolutely terrifying having to rely on a platform like this, although they famously don't like going back on their actions despite all the negatives, I pray they don't go through with this. I've played Roblox since I was 6 years old and love this platform to death and I love that I am able to make a career off of it, however the poor treatment and horrible updates from Roblox really makes me question how safe working on this platform really is.

@chickenputty Wrong, 18+ users are typically 50% of all spend and US are also 50%+ of all spend. That'd mean ~25% of revenue is eligible for the 0.0054 rate; so the average game would average out at 0.0042, more than a 10% net increase
