Ok, that’s objectively crazy

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit just released an animated theme song on YouTube depicting the judges currently sitting on that bench. Noticeably absent? Judge Pauline Newman — despite the fact that she remains an active, constitutionally appointed federal judge. NCLA has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear Newman v. Moore and mandate judicial review of administrative orders that have kept Federal Circuit Judge Pauline Newman off the federal bench for three years so far—now the longest suspension of a federal judge in history. Told the Daniels girls to always keep a spare tire in the trunk. Seems the trustees got the same lesson. Will try to keep Purdue on its current roll, thanks to the board for the opportunity. purdue.edu/newsroom/2026/…

Yeah, I’m a non-Jewish Zionist. I believe in the moral and historical necessity of the state of Israel and I utterly oppose Hamas, YET I’ve done more to defend the rights of Palestinian protesters and professors than you will ever do in your life. Principles are funny, no? Now commence your meltdown

The big news recently was that the Senate left early for Memorial Day without undertaking a necessary vote-a-rama to fund ICE and CBP due to concern over the so-called 1776 Fund. Taking a Republican priority hostage to advance a Democrat message is not a good strategy. 1/10

Mr. David Dewhirst, Solicitor General, Florida Attorney General's Office, on how Florida is working to loosen the grip of the American Bar Association (ABA): “The ABA is incredibly powerful across the country. Over the last year, we encouraged our state Supreme Court to revisit the requirement that you graduate from an ABA-accredited school in order to be qualified to take the Florida bar exam — and so they did. They just removed that back in February. … We're doing our best to defang them as a relevant actor when it comes to representing the legal community nationwide and particularly playing such a pivotal role in legal education.”

Uh, yeah. That’s why it matters who the university presidents are. They have to lead the effort to build and maintain trust, not merely go along with it because it’s the flavor of the day.
