My hot take for the day: Hexing Squelcher is just fine, it's mostly the red Voice of Victory, which is a solid card, but not game-breaking (at least in the formats I play the most). It is funny how bad it makes Spider-Punk look though, that set just can't catch a break.

@SaffronOlive Too many restrictions can lead to abandonment.

I hear people say "restriction breeds creativity" a lot, but I'm not sure it's exactly true. Some restriction leads to more creativity, but too much stifles it. It's not as simple as more restriction = more creativity, it's about finding the right point on the curve between "no restriction" and "total restriction" that allows for maximum creativity.

@lsv @HAUMPH @TCGplayer I have a physical Cube that is based off of Arena’s card pool (basically a Timeless Cube), excluding any digital and rebalanced cards. It has been fun to keep up with Arena’s overall power level, so this announcement is exciting and intimidating at the same time.

It's so weird that we're getting two New York City based sets within a year. We can't even get two sets that are on the same Plane in a year any more.

We find out the 2026 Magic sets at MagicCon Atlanta in a couple of weeks. We know there's a return to Lorwyn and Strixhaven and one more in-universe set, and then it seems like three Universes Beyond sets. What are you guesses?

About 1 year ago today, I won an RCQ at @Gen_Con on the very first day of the convention and the whole @SCGCON @StarCityGames RCQ season and today my dad @adamfischer71 did the exact same thing in #MTGEternities Limited at #GenCon2025 . How cool!
