The Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and the Illinois Chapter of RLI met last week to discuss their newly published 2024 Farmland Values and Lease Trends booklet. For the 4th year in a row all land classes had an increase in value. The land market is changing everyday and is different in every region. The following charts are reflective of the 2023 Real Estate market. We have already seen a change in the market place as we conduct auctions with fewer bidders and increasing uncertainty in the commodity markets. 2024 will be another interesting year for the land markets but for different reasons than the previous few years.
